Triptych Makeup Mirror

Description :

The Triptych Makeup Mirror is a transportable mirror intended for the preparation of actors and actresses on film sets and other travelling projects.
A custom-developed controller ensures precise adjustment of light intensity and its temperature: from 2700 to 6100 K. LED strips have been integrated around the central mirror and into the doors for perfectly homogeneous facial illumination.

It comes equipped with a multi-socket extension, a USB charger and a clock.
Taller and brighter than a traditional mirror, it’s also lighter, thinner and consumes up to 6 times less energy.
A 15 cm riser stand and a carry case have been developed to accompany it.

History

LED makeup mirrors became more popular in 2014, but the models available did not fully exploit the potential provided by the technology. Confronting this realisation, we decided to create our own makeup mirror, one that would be more efficient and easier to transport. After many prototypes, we chose to create an aluminium case for its resistance properties, its weight and the ability to machine it.

Thanks to the feedback we received, LED strips were added to the doors, providing more homogeneous facial lighting. We’re still the only ones in Europe to offer this extra asset.

The Nestor makeup mirror is also equipped with a dimmer control with a digital display, which greatly contributes to its success. The fruit of long research with our partner Rubylight, who uses it in particular for their famous “Boa”, a flexible light kit, this dimmer allows adjustment for light intensity and the colour temperature of the lighting, to recreate a working light identical to that on-set.

Our triptych mirror is the lightest one on the market and can be easily moved about thanks to its shoulder strap.

First handcrafted on a very small scale, Nestor’s mirror quickly distinguished itself on prestigious projects such as Au revoir là haut and Versailles. Today, it’s considered one of the essential tools in HMC dressing rooms, with more than 300 projects to its credit.
